Blast furnace slag, also known as water slag is the product that is discharged from the blast furnace after melting non-ferrous components in iron ore, coke, and injection coal ash when iron and steel companies melt pig iron. It is mainly a crystalline block, honeycomb or rod shape, mainly glass body fine particles, light yellow (some dark green crystals), glass luster or silky luster, Mohs hardness of 1 ~ 2, (natural accumulation) specific gravity 0.8~1.3t/m3. There are two main methods: slag pool water quenching and furnace water quenching. It has potential hydraulic cementing properties and can exhibit hydraulic cementing properties under the action of activators such as cement clinker, lime, and gypsum, making it a high-quality cement raw material.

As a concrete mineral mix, the slag powder can be directly mixed into commercial concrete instead of cement in the same amount. According to the difference in activity and specific surface area, the performance of concrete mixed with slag powder in a certain proportion is obviously improved. Slag powder is especially suitable for special projects such as high-rise buildings, dams, airports, underwater and underground buildings.
The material is crushed by the crusher to the fineness that can enter the mill(15mm-50mm).
