Slag is a material with "latent hydraulic", that is, it is basically non-hydraulic when it exists alone, but under the action of some activators (lime, clinker powder, alkalis, gypsum, etc.), it exhibits hydraulic performance.
As the raw material for producing Portland slag cement, granulated blast furnace slag is mixed with Portland cement clinker, and 3~5% gypsum is added for mixing and grinding to make Portland slag cement, which can be better used in water projects and seaports, and underground engineering, etc.
It can be used to produce slag bricks and wet rolled slag concrete products.
Put water slag and activator (cement, lime and gypsum) in a wheel mill and add water to make mortar, then mix with coarse aggregate to form wet rolled slag concrete.
Slag crushed stone concrete can be prepared and has a wide range of applications in road and railway engineering.
