What is Potassium Feldspar

Potassium feldspar, generally called orthoclase, is red, yellow, white and other colors. It belongs to the monoclinic crystal system and has a Mohs hardness of 6. It is a water-insoluble potassium resource with high potassium content, wide distribution and large reserves. Potassium Feldspar has the characteristics of low melting point (1150±20℃), long melting range and high melt viscosity. It can be divided into orthoclase, plagioclase, and striped feldspar series.

The use of potassium feldspar

Potassium feldspar is widely used in industries such as ceramic blanks, ceramic glazes, glass, electric porcelain, abrasive materials, and potassium fertilizers. Potassium feldspar in the glass industry, about 50-60% of potassium feldspar is used as a raw material for the glass industry. In addition, 30% of potassium feldspar is used by the ceramic industry, and the rest is widely used in chemicals, glass flux, ceramic body ingredients, ceramic glaze, glaze raw materials, abrasives, fiberglass, welding rod and other industries.

Stage 1: Crushing of raw materials

The material is crushed by the crusher to the fineness that can enter the mill(15mm-50mm).


Stage 2: Grinding

The crushed small pieces of material are sent to the storage hopper through the elevator,and then sent to the grinding chamber of the mill evenly and quantitatively through the feeder for grinding.


Stage 3:Classification

Through classification, the coarse powder will return to main mill to grind again.


Stage 4:Collection of finished products

The powder that meets the fineness enters the dust collector through the pipeline with the air flow for separation and collection, and the collected finished powder is sent to the finished product silo by the conveying device through the discharge port, and then is packaged uniformly.
