What types of NdFeB grinding mill are there

Release date: 2023-09-12

At present, sintered NdFeB permanent magnet materials have become the most powerful and cost-effective magnetic materials in the world. It not only has extremely high magnetic energy product and coercive force characteristics, but also has the advantage of high energy density, which makes sintered NdFeB permanent magnet materials widely used in modern industry and electronic technology. This makes it possible to make instruments, electroacoustics, motors, magnetic separation and magnetization equipment smaller, lighter and thinner. In the entire production process of NdFeB, powdering is required, and then a series of deep processing processes are completed. So, what types of NdFeB grinding mill are there? Today Guilin Hongcheng will introduce it to you in detail.

NdFeB grinding mills include jet mills, Raymond mills, vertical grinding mills, etc., which are introduced below:

1. jet mill: In the process of powdering sintered NdFeB permanent magnet materials, manufacturers generally use airflow milling technology to compress the gas, and the supersonic airflow formed inside causes the raw materials to collide with each other and crush the raw materials. In the process of air-flow milling of NdFeB powder, usually in addition to filling the air-flow mill with a large amount of pure nitrogen, a trace amount of oxygen needs to be transported to make the oxygen content in the air-flow mill reach 80PPM [90PPM. The required trace amount of oxygen is generally The method adopted is to provide an oxygen bottle to transport a certain amount of oxygen into the airflow mill. Its shortcomings are: the oxygen content in the oxygen bottle is limited and needs to be replaced frequently. The oxygen bottle itself is heavy and requires transportation and replacement. It is very inconvenient and can easily cause harm to staff and affect work efficiency. In addition, the main disadvantages of airflow mills are high energy consumption and low output.

2. Raymond mill: The most widely used fineness of NdFeB powder is about 250 mesh. The Raymond mill can process powder with a fineness of 250 mesh, and the output per hour reaches more than 5 tons, and it has its own unique The air self-circulation system has low dust emission. The production line can be equipped with a pulse dust collector, which has high dust removal efficiency and low emission concentration. It basically realizes dust-free operation in the workshop. The equipment is stable, the vibration is small, and it is more environmentally friendly. It is ideal for grinding NdFeB.

3. Vertical mill: NdFeB vertical mill has high production capacity, stable equipment, small vibration, and is equipped with a complete set of dust removal equipment, which is more environmentally friendly. Combining the powder metallurgy method to produce sintered NdFeB magnets breaks through the production bottleneck of traditional NdFeB jet mills, with a production capacity of 4-40t/h. It is an ideal equipment for large-scale production of NdFeB powder. The production methods of NdFeB permanent magnet materials mainly include sintering and bonding methods. Among them, sintered NdFeB accounts for a larger proportion. Therefore, the raw materials we need for powdering mostly come from the sintering process and are in the form of powder, granular, block, Mud-like and other forms. In the grinding stage of NdFeB waste recycling, due to the high requirements for grinding output and fineness and the necessity of energy conservation and emission reduction, more and more large rare earth companies and NdFeB production companies choose vertical mills. Used to produce NdFeB permanent magnet materials.

NdFeB grinding process: crushed by grinding roller, aniseed materials are directly crushed, and fine materials are extruded into a bed for intergranular crushing. The crushed materials continue to move toward the edge of the grinding disc until they are taken away by the strong airflow at the air ring, while the larger particles fall onto the grinding disc again and continue to be crushed. When the materials in the air flow pass through the upper separator, the coarse particles return to the grinding disc for grinding under the action of the rotor blades. Qualified fine powder goes out for grinding with the air flow and is collected by the powder collector of the system.

As a manufacturer of NdFeB grinding mills, Guilin Hongcheng's Raymond mill, vertical mill and other equipment have been widely used and recognized in NdFeB powdering projects. If you have relevant needs, please leave us a message.
