In the sand casting industry, except for a small amount of waste sand that is recycled and reused, most of it is discarded. It is a huge waste of limited resources. Therefore, the water glass waste sand regeneration has become an urgent problem that needs to be solved. As a manufacturer of foundry sand Raymond mills, Guilin Hongcheng will introduce to you today the method of water glass waste sand regenerating.

The water glass required for casting production is growing at an annual rate of 10-15% every year, which requires the consumption of a large amount of high-quality quartz resources. The water glass waste sand regeneration is of great significance to save silica sand resources and protect the ecological environment.
1. Screen the waste sand to remove impurities.
2. Perform magnetic separation on the screened waste sand to remove iron particles.
3. Use a foundry sand Raymond mill to grind the waste sand to make the particle diameter less than 0.075mm, increasing its surface area, which is beneficial to increasing the chemical reaction speed and shortening the reaction time during melting.
4. The powder is separated by secondary magnetic separation to remove iron impurities. Purified waste sand powder and soda ash are obtained as the main raw materials.
5. Mix the sodium silicate and potassium silicate mixture particles, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, water, and modifier according to the proportion requirements, and introduce 0.6-0.8MPa steam at a temperature of 158°C to 169°C. After being kept warm for 1h_4h, sodium silicate and potassium silicate are dissolved and mixed in water to produce casting water glass.
The casting sand grinding machine mainly uses Raymond mill, which is the main raw material pretreatment equipment in the water glass waste sand regeneration method. It can process 80-400 mesh waste sand powder. If you have related equipment needs, please leave us a message to learn more. Details.
